Zachary Boudin Tankersley

January 30, 1984 — February 17, 2025

Durango, Colorado

Zachary Boudin Tankersley passed away February 17, 2025 in his hometown of Durango. Zach was full of love for his family and friends. He was fiercely loyal, a little stubborn and almost always a good time. He is going to be missed terribly. Zach was born in Durango January 30, 1984 to Tina (Tankersley) Hood and joining his big sister Cara (Tankersley) Flynt. Zach spent his childhood running around the family's campground, Hermosa Meadows with his sister and his cousins. Zach showed an early interest in the military and wanted to follow in his grandpa's (Glenn Francis) footsteps, as well as his Uncle Steve who served the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

At the age of 18, Zach enlisted in the Army and was quickly deployed to Iraq where he was in the 7th Infantry Division of Fort Carson. Zach served 1 year of foreign service in Iraq from 2003 - 2004 during the invasion at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was honorably discharged in 2005 and moved back home to Durango.

Zach spent the next twenty years in Durango in his cozy condo, having too much fun and sharing his heart with his large family and numerous friends. He was deeply loved and he enjoyed friendships from every walk of life. Continue sharing stories of him, say a little prayer that he's finally resting easy and share a "Zach" hug with someone you love.

Zach is survived by his parents Glen and Tina Hood, his sister and brother-in-law Cara and Danny Flynt, and his nephew Cooper Flynt.

He is also survived by his Aunt Karin & Uncle Peter Rodgers, his Uncle Mike Francis (Amy Spehar) and his Aunt Janet Leigh. His cousins Todd & Joanna Gaver, Kati & Todd Sieger, Mary & Tony Blevins, Kelly Francis, John Francis & Monica Weiss, and Reid Francis. And 10 more second cousins all who live in Durango.
