Klara Woodyard

August 17, 1927 — August 12, 2015

Klara Kathaleen "Kathy" Woodyard left us to be with Jesus, Aug. 12, surrounded by family in her daughter’s family home in Bayfield, Colo. A memorial service will be announced at a later date in Lake Havasu City.
Kathaleen was born in Le Roy, Kan. to Samuel and Clara Ferguson, Aug. 17, 1927. She graduated high school in Le Roy, Kan., and moved to Topeka. Kathaleen met and married Archie L. Woodyard, March 30, 1952 at Le Roy, Kan. The family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1967 and raised their two children. Kathaleen worked in several different occupations including McCulloch Chainsaw where she retired with 23 years of employment.
Kathaleen was an active member of Stonebridge Christian Fellowship in Lake Havasu. She volunteered her time and services at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, KNLB Christian Radio, and Marilyn Haskell’s Heart-to-Heart Bible Ministry in Lake Havasu. Her hobby and greatest passion was to serve others where ever she saw a need.
She is survived by her children, Lynette "Beamer" (Duane Greer) Thornton of Bayfield, Colo., and Ronald (Tina) Woodyard of Stockton, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremy Lloyd Beeman, Aaron Woodyard and Joshua Woodyard; nine great-grandchildren; and many close friends and extended family.
