Florence Williams

Florence Williams passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at home. She was 76 years old.

Florence was born November 1, 1941, to Joseph Spencer Williams and Jane Thompson in Ignacio, CO. She grew up in Ignacio and graduated from St. Euphrasia High School in Denver, CO, at the age of 16. She traveled to California for training and vocational education and attended Haskell Vo-Tech Institute in Lawrence, KS. She married the late Everett Burch, although that marriage later ended in divorce. She moved to the Dakotas, and then to Minnesota (for 20 years) and furthered her education and career. It was Minneapolis, MN that she truly called home. She enjoyed her time at the Casino's, traveling, animals, her family, dancing and living life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons: Robert Thompson and an infant son; Siblings: Nedra Seeger, Helen Kent and David Williams; as well her beloved four-legged, "Pockets."

She is survived by her daughters: Hilda Burch and Merry Christina Joy Williams; grandchildren: Joel Stewart, Nalani Thompson, Jared Carel, Cyrus Williams, Antonio Thompson, Kiana Thompson, Loren Frost, Joseph Williams, Cortney Durant, Alexis Thompson and Miracle Williams; 8 great-grandchildren and her 'Thelma & Louise' best friend: Hazel Weaver.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Southern Ute Memorial Chapel, Ignacio, CO.
