Bob Wiggins, born November 9, 1944 in Mason City, Iowa and died November 20, 2021, in Durango, Colorado. He was 77 years old.
Bob was a carpet and flooring salesman in Denver before moving to Durango in the 70’s where he was an outfitter and guide into the Weminuche Wilderness. He married Kathy Taylor in 1973 and divorced in ‘93. He built a log cabin in Forest Lakes in ‘76. His daughter Kimberly was born in ‘83. Bob worked as a carpenter and builder, Sheriff’s Officer, and Insurance Sales in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Later, he started his business, “Far View Window Cleaning” that he owned and operated until he retired. Bob married Patricia in 2003. They lived in their beautiful creek side home with 4 dogs and a cat until his passing.
He was a hunter, fisherman, horseman, and adventurer. A true lover of the southwest. Bob was a passionate man, full of life. Might be worth a note that he was 6’9”.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; Daughter, Kimberly Montoya; Step-Daughter, Cindy Pereyra; Son-in-Law, Cody Montoya, Greg Pereyra; Grandchildren, Autumn Montoya and Iris Pereyra.
He is predeceased by his parents, Robert & Elsie Wiggins.
