Nicholas Wickham

Nicholas Lee Wickham, 25, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011, at his home in Durango, Colo. A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Pine Valley Church of the Foursquare Gospel in Bayfield, Colo. Pastor Scott Kujath of Pine Valley Church of the Foursquare Gospel will be officiating. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango.

Mr. Wickham was born April 12, 1986, in Killeen, Texas, the son of Marshall and Gina (Montano) Cote. Nicholas was an accomplished songwriter and music performer. Nicholas was an athlete who loved snowboarding and playing hockey. Nicholas loved the outdoors. "Nicholas had a special relationship with God. He was loved by so many people and countless friends and will be deeply missed," fondly recall his family.

He is survived by Gina Cote (mother) of Bayfield, Marshall Cote (father) of Bayfield, Brandon Cote (brother) of Phoenix, Ariz., Nancy D. Wickham (sister) of Durango, Adrian Griffith (nephew) of Durango, Erica Porter (fiancé) of Durango, Joseph and Erlinda Montano (grandparents) of Lusby, Md., Ken and Brenda Wickham (grandparents) of La Junta, Colo., and numerous cousins and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Nellie Cote.
