Obituary for Lola B. Weyer
Lola Berniece Weyer passed away on October 4, 2011, at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango. She was 96.
She was born January 28, 1915, in Claremore, Okla., to Martin and Estella Rader. She married Fred Weyer in August of 1933. They led an adventurous life by moving first to Reno, Nev., where she started her career as a photofinisher, then to Vallejo, Calif., back to Claremore, and then to Durango in 1953. Lola worked as a photofinisher at Pennington Camera for many years. Lola and Fred loved the mountains and instilled that love in their children and grandchildren.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Fred Weyer.
She is survived by her son, Richard Weyer, and wife, Mary, of Bayfield, Colo.; daughter, Yvonne Vanderau, and husband, Fred, of Plattsburg, Mo.; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
