Virginia Jean Wride

Virginia Jean Wride passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in the early morning hours of November 8, 2022.

She was adopted by Roy and Opal Lee in 1942 in Roswell, NM, where she grew up. She met and married the love of her life, Noel E. Wride in Durango, Colorado in 1964. Virginia is survived by children Frank N. Wride, Monica O’Sullivan, Clifford Powell, Katrina Powell, Christine Cannon, Richard Powell and Dianna Wride and adopted children Char Waterbury and Mary Johnson. Her passion for life and family overflowed into the hearts of the multitude of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren in her life. She also poured her generosity into the countless friends she encountered along the way. Virginia always had an open heart with everyone she met and loved. Her warmth and love for life, family, friends and adventure will live on forever in all our hearts!
