Patricia N. Vicenti
Patricia Nell Manwell Vicenti passed at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colo., on February 19, 2012.
Patricia was born June 9, 1977, in Durango, Colo., to Aaron Manwell and Glenda Vigil. She grew up in Dulce, N.M. Patricia attended St. Francis Catholic School in Lumberton, N.M., and graduated from Dulce High School. She was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with honors. She excelled at sports and was named female athlete of the year upon her graduation. She briefly attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.
Patricia worked for the Jicarilla Apache tribe as an administrative assistant for the agricultural department. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dulce and the St. Francis Catholic Church in Lumberton.
Patricia was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved fishing, camping, hunting, and all other outdoor activities.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Vicenti, of Dulce, three children: Sean Kie, Kierston and Hunter Vicenti of Dulce, her mother, Glenda Vigil, of Ignacio, Colo., her father, Aaron Manwell of Dulce, brothers: Patrick and Thomas Manwell, of Dulce, uncles: Elroy Vigil, Rueben Vigil, Wesley Vigil, Albie Vigil, Levi Vigil, and Keith Manwell, aunts: Juliet Manwell and Tammy Manwell, and numerous relatives in the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in Ignacio, Colo., Jicarilla Apache Indian Tribe in Dulce, and the Northern Ute Indian Tribe in Ft. Duchesne, Utah.
Patricia is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: LaVeta Washington Vigil formerly of Ignacio, and Eldred Vigil, Sr. formerly of Dulce, her grandmother, Floripa Manwell, and uncle, Richard Manwell, both formerly of Dulce, and her uncle, Eldred Vigil, Jr. formerly of Bayfield, Colo.
A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dulce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012, also at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will occur at Dulce Cemetery.
