Obituary for Lorraine Viccellio

Lorraine Kay Viccellio, 68, died Friday, March 20, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bayfield, Colo. Burial will occur at Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield.
Mrs. Viccellio was born July 30, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona the daughter of Earl and Ethel Updike. Lorraine grew up in Phoenix, Ariz., attended schools there and after graduation, she moved to Provo, Utah. She attended two years at Brigham Young University and it was there that she met her future husband, John Arthur Viccellio. They were married in the Mesa Temple in Mesa, Ariz. and together they had three daughters and one son. Two infant daughters preceded Mrs. Viccellio in death, Julie Ann and Nancy.
Mrs. Viccellio lived in many places but spent most of her life in Florence, South Carolina after her husband’s retirement. She enjoyed reading and shopping and was a very faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will always be remembered as a great caregiver to all and “her grandchildren were her pride, joy, and happiness," fondly recall her family and she also "never missed a game of her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys."
She is survived by Holly Renninger (daughter) of Uniontown, Ohio, Anthony Viccellio (son) of Brackettville, Tex., 7 Grandchildren, Karen Grover (sister) of Bayfield, CO, Jim Updike (brother) of Peoria, AZ, Alan Updike (brother) of Salt Lake City, UT, David Updike (brother) of Salt Lake City, UT, and many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 2013, her mother in 1993 and her father in 2007.
