Obituary for
Charles T. Turner Jr.
Charles Troy Turner, Jr., 69, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at home in Durango. No services are planned at this time, and his ashes will be buried at Greenmount Cemetery next to his mother and brother. Charles fought a courageous battle with cancer the past three years.
Mr. Turner was born November 25, 1942, in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of Charles Sr. and Claudia (Tucker) Turner. He was raised in Arizona and spent many years in California, Colorado and Mexico (old). Prior to three years ago, he had spent 25 years in Mexico working in small towns assisting them with their medical needs.
He is survived by a brother, Richard Turner, Sr., of Homer, Alaska, two sons in California, four half-brothers in Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Les, who was killed at the hydroelectric plant north of Durango in 1981, his mother, Claudia, who passed about one year ago in Durango, and his father, Charles Sr., in Tucson, Arizona, in 1998.
