Obituary for
Gregorio Trujillo
Gregorio Trujillo died Monday, November 5, 2012, at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango, Colo. of natural causes.
He was born November 17, 1918, in Leadville, Colo., to Raymondo Trujillo and Adelina (Martinez) Trujillo. He served in the Army Infantry during World War II.
While living in Salt Lake City, he worked as a core maker at the foundry and later was a custodian in the Salt Lake City schools. In his younger years he loved to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his son, Jerry (Stella) Lucero and grandchildren, of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters Josie Herrera, Mercedes Rodriquez, Maria Martinez, Benita Olgun, and Mary Ventura Chavez, and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Durango. A memorial Mass will be celebrated immediately after the rosary, also at Sacred Heart. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Durango.
