Michael Ann (Cagle) Swindler was born in San Saba, TX on August 8, 1949, and raised in San Antonio, TX. She died on November 10, 2021, and is preceded in death by her parents, CA and Edith Cagle, and her brother, John.
A graduate of Harlandale High School, she was a cheerleader and an all-American Girl. She graduated and met the love of her life Charles Swindler and married in 1967. They have two boys: Bryan and Philip. Michael Ann spent many years raising boys, rough housing, golfing, fishing, camping, and hunting, and then loved the women that would join her life as daughters-in-law: Molly and Debra.
Michael Ann was comfortable in an evening gown or camo. Wherever she went, her beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes lit up the room. As life went on, she cheered on her family through good times and bad. If any person could embody the description of a “Tootsie Pop” it was Michael Ann, who had a hard exterior, but was so soft on the inside.
Michael Ann was an amazing and loving “Grammy” to 6 grandchildren: Kyle, Lauren, McKenzie, Kevin, Alyssa, and Lily.
Alzheimer’s robbed Michael Ann of her memories and took her from us too soon. She left everyone around her with memories and lessons that will shape their lives forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael Ann’s name to Alzheimer’s research.
