James William Sutton, 83, of Allison, Colorado was called home February 5, 2017, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born October 30, 1933 in Hugo, Colorado to Leslie D. and Beulah M. Sutton. After graduating from Ignacio High School in 1952, James entered into the United States Navy, serving four years. He returned to Allison after his service years to pursue ranching and banking. He married Margaret (Tate) in 1961. They had two daughters.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret; daughters: Vickie Sutton Gallegos (David); Judith Becker (Kirk); two grandchildren: Natacia Neil (Ryan), Garretson Becker (Noël) and two great-grandsons: Dayton and Kamden Neil.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., February 11, 2017 at the Ignacio High School, 315 Ignacio St., with burial to follow at the Allison-Tiffany Cemetery.
