Peggy Sower

Peggy A. Sower, 84, of Durango died on September 24, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Peggy was born in Torrance, CA the daughter of Jay M. and Amy G. (Trimble) Benton. Peggy graduated from San Fernando Senior High School, class of 1956. She married William F. Carmicheal in 1956, which later ended in divorce.
Peggy moved from California to Colorado in 1966. She met her best friend and companion, Donald L. Sower in 1977, they married in 2005. Together they owned the Gem Village Store.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Helen Benton, brother Jack Benton and husband Donald Sower.
She is survived by her children, Kendall (Cathy) Carmichael, Kris Carmichael, Keefe (Tammy) Carmichael; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; stepchildren” Dawnella (Terry) McGee, Cindy (Lloyd) Percell, Daren (Connie) Sower and Mitch Sower.
