In Loving Memory
Edna passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021 in her Haines City Fl home.
She was a beauty inside & out, she had a sassy personality with a big southern dollop of love, she was known for her unique ability to tell you like it is and never ever hesitated to tell you how much she loved and appreciated you. She was a great friend to many people from all parts of her life and will be missed beyond measure.
Edna was so very proud of her family. She was preceded in death by 'the love of her life' Don Silva & her parents Edward & Jessie Locke. Edna was an attentive caring daughter to parents & cherished by her four children; Kathy, Shane, Roland, and Rebecca & their devoted spouses. 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren as well as numerous Brothers, Sisters, In-Law's, Nephews & Nieces.
Edna was born in Samson Al. with 4 siblings. She met her soul mate Don Silva while living and working for Parker Industry in CA. After 25 years they retired and moved to Colorado. Her family is very proud of her lifelong contributions of over 51 years with the Supreme Emblem Club of the U.S. an extension of the Protective Order of Elks. She held the highest level of Supreme President for California & Colorado. Don was always by her side and supported all aspects of her charitable contributions. Edna was currently the President for the Colorado Chapter.
Rosary service will be held May 18 @ 6:30 p.m. Saint Ignatius Church. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held May 19, 2021 in Ignacio Colorado on Hwy 172 West Cemetery @ 10:00 AM. A gathering for lunch will be held following the burial at 130 Lakin St.
Edna will also be memorialized next to her parents in Samson Al @ the Reese Baptist Church Cemetery.
Edna believed in helping others and donated to many Charities. Donations in Edna's name would be a great honor for such a beautiful lady. Here are some of the Organizations: Wounded Warrior, Alzheimer's Asso. John Hopkins Children's Hosp, The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews..
