Obituary for Mary Jo Shearer
Mary Jo Shearer, 95, mother of Pat La May (Ted La May) of Durango and Karen Kerlin of Aurora, Colo., died February 13, 2012, in Durango. She was born to Lloyd L. Brown and Josephine Harrington Brown on June 14, 1916, in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
She was a graduate of Colorado University, member of P.E.O. and Tri Delta sorority.
She is survived by her two daughters, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
There will be no local services. A memorial service will be held this summer in Steamboat Springs at which time, her ashes will be interred next to her husband, Lowell Gehrung Shearer.
