Frances Caroline Sadler (Shuger)
Frances Caroline Sadler, 90, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born on March 12, 1923 in Moscow, Iowa, to Frank and Carrie Shuger. Frances married her high school sweetheart, Robert C. Sadler on December 24, 1946. She was an accomplished woman in business and finance, and an excellent cook who was known by many as the “best pie baker ever.” Most of all, Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Frances is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert C. Sadler; children, Terry and his wife, Diane, Saddler of Durango and Jan Sadler of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Becky and her husband, Heath, Gadberry of Fairbanks, Alaska, Marissa and her husband, Terence, Garrett, of Denver, Colorado, Larla Brown and Collis, both attending the Coast Guard Academy; great-grandchildren, Taylor Gadberry, Connor Gadberry and Daschel Garrett; sister, Ruby Graham of Russellville, Arkansas. The family received friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Kingwood Funeral Home of Kingwood, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hood Mortuary, Durango. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery.
