Rodney Don Bellino, 47, of Durango, Colorado, died on October 23, 2023 in Durango. Rodney was born on June 13, 1976 to Nick Bellino and Leona Montoya in Durango.
Rodney had many titles in his life, but being a dad was his favorite, he was a single father of twin boys TeAmo and Castillo, and they meant the world to him. Rodney worked hard every day to make sure that his boys were provided for even though it wasn’t always easy. He was a family man first and foremost. Rodney was recently employed by True Blue Landscaping, where he met many clients who became friends. He was respected and loved by all who met him. He was a straightforward guy and made sure he always spoke the truth, even if it hurt your feelings.
He was a lowrider enthusiast and just recently got his car set up with the hydraulics he always wanted. He was so excited (even though they left him stranded more than once). Rodney and his brother Sam had nightly talks of all the things they wanted to do to their cars and how they wanted to start their own car chapter.
Rodney was a collector of antiques (who are we kidding, he was a collector of everything!) and he had an eye for beautiful things, even if no one else could see it. Rodney raised TeAmo and Castillo with that same view on life.
He was preceded in death by parents: Nick Bellino and Leona Montoya; grandparents: Alice and Braulio Montoya; cousin: Fabian Gallegos; aunts: Carol & Virginia Montoya.
Rodney is survived by his twin sons: Castillo & TeAmo; brothers: Samuel (Ashley) Sinnig & Marshall Sinnig; nephews: Carlos & Samuel Sinnig, Jr.; Marcellino & Santiago Sinnig; nieces: Angelina & Marcella Sinnig; and extended family & friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Durango. Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. The family asks that everyone wear green in honor of Rodney.
He was a one-of-a-kind man and he will be missed by all.
