Barbara Lynn Rivas passed away at her home in Mancos 12/01/2016.
She was born 1/22/1931 in Mancos, CO to Carrie & John Bauer. Barbara was employed by Douglas Aircraft in California. In Durango, she worked as a switch board operator for Mountain Bell, as a receptionist at Mercy Regional Medical Center, and as an advisor at Family Horizons.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 31 years Ben Rivas; daughters Connie & Dianna; and son Michael. She is predeceased by her parents and step-dad Jim Waggoner.
Barbara loved the Baptist Church and A.A.; she was very proud of her sobriety.
Services will be held at Hood Mortuary, 1261 East 3rd Avenue, Durango, CO on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
