Obituary for Robert F. Richards
Robert F. Richards died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in Durango, Colo. He was 74.
Robert was born on March 2, 1938, to Harvey and Almeda Richards in Springfield, Ohio, and he grew up there. He married Barbara LePiors when he was 17 years old and they had two children. In 1979, Barbara died. He married Victoria White in 1980, in Garden City, Mich. They lived in Rockwood together.
The family has lived in Michigan; St. Louis, Mo.; Florida; Tucson, Ariz.; San Diego, Calif.; and Durango.
He was a good father and loved his family, remembers his wife, Victoria. He loved building things and had a joking sense of humor. He enjoyed watching TV and traveling.
Mr. Richards is survived by his wife Victoria “Vicki” Richards of Durango, Colo.; 29 children, 29 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at The River Church in Durango.
