Obituary for Mamie Rasmussen
Lifetime Durango resident Mamie Rasmussen passed away in Mancos on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the age of 83.
Mamie had worked at C.O.D. Laundry for 15 years, then worked at Mercy Hospital for 28 years before retiring in June of 1994. After retiring, Mamie enjoyed helping out at Durango Soup Kitchen and walking around town to see her many friends.
"She was devoted to her church and her family. Her grandson, whom she referred to as 'her Marc' was a great source of pride and was her strength in her later years," said her family.
Mamie is preceded in death by her grandson Lance Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Violet Clark, of Wichita, Kan.; grandson Marc Rasmussen, of Durango; grandson Chase Clark of Wichita; and great-granddaughters Leah of Durango and Kelli of Wichita.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Valley Inn, 211 3rd Ave., Mancos, CO 81328.
