Chester Peterson

Chester "Chet" G. Peterson, Jr. died at his home on Sunday, January 10, 2016. He was born in Harvey, North Dakota, on May 21, 1932. He retired from Ford Motor Company, MI and moved to Durango, CO in September 1995. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Durango Fire and Rescue from 2000 to 2005. He is survived by his wife Tekla Miller, sons; Gar, Bill and Robert; Daughter-in-law Dana, sister; Audre and three grandchildren. His wisdom, optimism, humor and love of life sustained him to the end. Chet will be remembered as a generous, compassionate man who was filled with joy and love for life. In lieu of flowers please donate to Annie’s Orphans of Durango, CO. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
