Marion Patterson

Marion Louise Patterson, 94, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in Durango, Colorado. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at Hood Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Michael Patterson & Rev. Daniel Martin will be officiating. Burial will occur at Greenmount Cemetery in Durango.

Mrs. Patterson was born December 17, 1917 in Indio, California the daughter of Ransom and Marie Michael. She grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles and she graduated from Huntington Park High School. In 1936, she married Floyd Patterson in Yuma, Ariz. They moved back to Los Angeles and it was there where Floyd owned a roofing company and Marion was a full time mother. She was a marvelous cook, enjoyed traveling and had great pride in her family in all that they accomplished. She was a member of the Lynwood Full Gospel Assembly.

She is survived by Floyd Patterson, Jr. (son) of Durango, Michael Patterson (son) of Phoenix, Ariz., Judy Marzelli (daughter) of Flagstaff, Ariz., numerous grandchildren and numerous great & great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 2008, one grandson and one sister.
