On November 26, 2021, Lori Nightingale passed from injuries sustained while stopping to help another driver just outside Durango, Colorado.
Born in Palo Alto, California, she traveled all around the country resulting in more life experiences than most are lucky enough to get. She loved seeing new places and making friends everywhere she went.
Creativity came naturally and her nurturing ways with people and animals fit her Nightingale namesake perfectly. Lori had a vivacious personality and a deep faith in God that showed in the way she lived and cared about others.
Lori is survived by her daughter Charity Hardy, adopted granddaughter Rita Marie Hamm; Sisters; Beverly (Glenn) Lange, Becky (Curtis) Jahnke, Diane (Paul) Shepherd, Jamie Grosz; Aunt Coralyn Corriveau and many nieces, nephews, their families and a host of longtime friends.
She is preceded in death by parents Glenn Ellsworth Nightingale and Patricia Adele Decker, Sister Leslie Erin Velascobaes, and loving partner Kenneth Hallinan.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for this summer.
Always remember to do what you love and what is right.
