Tonya Marie Moon
Tonya Marie Moon, 48, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at her home in Bayfield, Colorado. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Ignacio Community Church. Pastor Randall Haynes will be officiating. Burial will occur at Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield.
Mrs. Moon was born July 29, 1963 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Gary and Patricia Beebe. Tonya grew up and attended schools in Texas. She graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in Fritch, TX in 1981. Shortly thereafter, she moved to the Bayfield area and was raising her children from a previous marriage. She worked at local business: Comstock Creations, Rocky Mountain Chocolate and at Basin Co-Op. She worked there for 16 years. While at Basin Co-Op, she met George Moon. They were married in July of 2007. Tonya loved being with her family and adored all the children. She was a passionate gardener and a gifted at crocheting. She liked to read and was very fond of animals.
She is survived by George Moon (spouse) of Bayfield, Serena (Robert) Kinney (daughter and son in law) of Ignacio, Christopher Cyphers (son) of Bayfield, Gary & Peggy Beebe (father & “mother”) of Bayfield, Pat & Earl Liles, Jr. (mother & step father) of Amarillo, TX, Landyn Kinney (grandson), Robert Beebe (brother) of Bayfield, Pattie Ann Walker (sister) of Phoenix, AZ, Kyle Beebe (brother) of Bayfield, Mindy Hobgood (sister) of Las Vegas, NV, Debbie Candelaria (sister) of Bayfield, Steven Liles (brother) of Amarrilo, TX, Roy Dove (uncle) , Barbara Thompson (aunt) , Debbie Annen (aunt) , Martha Shull (aunt) , and Carol Horn (aunt) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her sister Sheila Gorman, her aunt Leona Tripp, and her aunt Lamona Tait.
