Darryl George Moffett (born April 8, 1934) slipped into the eternities after an exasperating battle with Parkinson’s disease. Third child and second son of Raymond and Margaret Moffett, he enjoyed a happy childhood in Cape Cod acquiring an affection for nature and the Sea. Divine providence and an Idaho state University football scholarship led to the meeting of Beverly Gunderson who became his wife, mother of his three sons, and lifelong companion. The union was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A 45-year career in the construction industry provided opportunities to work and live throughout the United States, England, Scotland, the Middle East, Singapore, the Philippines, and mainland China. Hundreds of cherished and exceptional friendships resulted. However, the welfare of his wife and the family was always his top priority. A disciple of Jesus Christ, he epitomized hard work, loving kindness, self sacrifice, and exemplary conduct. To us, his family, he was a paragon. He is survived by his wife Beverly, two sons Darryl Jr (Laura) and Dee Aaron (Cynthia), eight grandsons, two granddaughters, and three great grandchildren as well as his older brother Raymond. He was preceded in death by his middle son Patrick, his father Raymond, his mother Margaret, and his sister June. "Dad, we are so sorrowful at your passing, but we know our eternal reunion will be joyful"
