Suzanne Moffat-Stiles
Suzanne Moffat Stiles passed away in Durango, Colorado, at the age of 72, on December 20th, 2014. She was born Suzanne Brzostowski in Chicago, Illinois on October 2, 1942.
Suzanne moved to New Jersey in 1971 with her first husband and their two children. The family moved to Colorado in 1981. She later remarried, and had a son.
In her younger years, Suzanne was an honor student at Kelly High School in Chicago, and excelled at sports such as softball and swimming. She enjoyed playing golf and watercolor painting. She was named, “Most Improved Amateurs,” by Golf Digest in 1974.
Suzanne took pride in raising her three children, providing home-cooked meals, and caring for the household. Her motherly love will be missed.
Her parents, Mary Jaskowski and Walter Brzostowski preceded her in death.
She is survived by her siblings Mary Ann Konow of Wisconsin, David Brost of Chicago, and her twin sister, Judy Songailo of Ohio. Her surviving children are Julie Pennix and son-in-law Steve Pennix of California; and grandkids Nathan and Jenna, Jill Lawson and son-in-law Dean Kottmann of Colorado, and Ben Stiles and daughter-in-law Shay Stiles of Washington; and grandkids Cailyn and Alexa, and her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Suzanne Moffat Stiles will be held at Hood Mortuary of Durango on February 7th, at 11am-1pm. For more information call Hood Mortuary @ 970-247-2312.
