Mercedes Margaret "Silva" Boughan

Mercedes Margaret Boughan passed away on March 3^rd surrounded by family. She was 76 years old. Funeral services will be March 15^th, 2024, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM and mass to follow at 10:00 AM.  Ashes will be buried at a later date. 

Margaret was born September 27^th, 1947, in Ignacio to Susano and Mary Silva. She grew up in Ignacio and graduated from Ignacio High School. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

 She is survived by her children Amy Briones, and George Boughan. Her Grandson Nelson Pena-Monteroza, Her Son-in-law Victor Briones, and Tonya and the family of Tonya. Siblings: Joe, Veroncia, Arthur, Tom, Geraldo Silva, Cathy Newberry, Marilyn Griego, Jean Montoya, Phyillis Perea, Diane Valencia, Barbara Valdez, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Louie Boughan, daughter Hope Boughan. Her Siblings Aurora, Ramos, and Don Silva.
