Obituary for Marvin Wayde Harris September 30, 1964 – January 9, 2025 Marvin Wayde Harris, 60, of Bayfield, Colorado, passed away on January 9, 2025. Born on September 30, 1964, in Yuma, Arizona, Marvin was the beloved son of Aubrey Frank & Betty Jane Harris. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Frank Harris.
Marvin is survived by his mother, Betty Harris; his son, Sean Melrose (Lauren); his daughter, Heather Eash (Kris); his cherished granddaughters, Autumn and Kahlan Melrose; his grandsons, Konnor and Kyzer Eash; and his siblings, Dianna Lopez, David Harris, and Linda Halvorson.
Growing up in Bayfield, Colorado, Marvin had a passion for the outdoors, spending his youth hunting, cruising in his blue corvette, and sharing adventures with his friends. His talents extended to the wrestling mat, where he excelled as a high school wrestler.
In his adult years, Marvin became a highly respected contractor in the local community. His dedication to his craft was evident in every project he undertook. Outside of work, Marvin was an avid hunter who found solace and joy in nature. His tireless work ethic and commitment to his family were hallmarks of his character, making him one of the hardest-working men you could ever meet.
Marvin's love for his family was profound, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. A service to celebrate Marvin's life will be held at the Pine Valley Church (1328 County Road 501 Bayfield, CO 81122) on February 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local youth hunting organization in Marvin's memory.
Marvin Wayde Harris's legacy of hard work, love for family, and passion for the outdoors will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
