Laverne Madrid

Laverne was born November 17, 1948 to Gladys & Elmer Davies in Durango. She graduated from Durango High School in 1968. She married in 1969 and had her daughter Brenda Jones the joy of her life. The marriage ended in divorce. In 1994 she married the love of her life Richard Madrid. She was a loving, giving soul. Laverne loved everyone and never knew a stranger. She loved animals especially her dogs Bonnie & Clyde. She loved her God and her passion was the Clothes Closet in Ignacio which is a minister providing clothes to anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband Richard Madrid, daughter Brenda Jones, stepson Matt Madrid, Stepdaughter Natalie Hidgon, grandkids Sarah, Katherine, JT, Noah, great grandkids Carter & Lilah; Brother Clyde Davies (Karen), Sisters Julie Manis, Teresa Hunt (Darryl) & Chris Johnson (Tony) and many nieces & nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents.
Memorial service held Saturday, August 28th at 11:00 am at the Ignacio Community Church 405 Browning Ave., Ignacio, CO 81137.
