Obituary for
Kathleen J. Lytle
Kathleen Joyce Lytle, 65, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Durango, Colo. Services will be held at a later date. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango.
Mrs. Lytle was born March 10, 1947, in Oil City, Pa., the daughter of Edward John Lendrum and Ruth Loraine(French). She grew up in Oil City and attended schools there. She has lived in Florida and California.
She met her husband JJ in Chula Vista, Calif. They were married 17 years before they divorced. They got back together and moved to Durango. They owned a security company here, Kathy worked as a bartender for the VFW, and she was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Kathy was a very active member of the Calvary Chapel of Durango Church.
Kathy lived life to the fullest, having been a dog breeder and kennel owner in Florida. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she worked closely with handicapped children in California. Kathleen enjoyed travel, dancing, motorcycling, bingo, casinos and gaming (and was always very lucky).
She is survived by two brothers, a very loving aunt and cousin in Pennsylvania, her adopted sisters Donna Byers-Hardin and Fluffy Jackson of Durango. And, of course, she is survived by her loving dog JADA. She also survived by a nephew, Edward P. Zeutzius.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.J. Dulac.
