Frank Lucero

Frank Joe Lucero was born to Benito Lucero & Julianita Aragon Lucero on June 3, 1941 in La Jara, NM. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on August 7, 2016. Frank married Juanita Montoya Lucero on April 29, 1961 in Durango, CO. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sister Evangeline Tafoya; nephews Ricky Lucero, Patrick Lopez & Jonathan Tafoya. Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years Juanita Montoya Lucero; daughters Judy Curtis (Tracy) Sandy, UT, Jane Valdez (Ben) Bloomfield, NM, Laurie Lucero (Joe) Aztec, NM, Frances Ross (Nate) Lancaster, CA; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren with another on the way; sisters Rose Cordova (Ernesto) Albuquerque, NM, Rita Thom (Barton) Abiquiu, NM Cathy Tafoya (Robert) Alcalde, NM; brother Willie Lucero (Priscilla) Durango, CO; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Calvary Assembly of God Church located on College Drive in Durango, CO on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. a reception will follow and private interment of cremains will take place at Greenmount Cemetery.
