Ronald Wesley "Ron" Loudenburg
Ronald W. Loudenburg, known as “Ron,” a long-time resident of Durango, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2013. Ron, the youngest of three, was born in Midland, Mich., on January 21, 1968, and he grew up in Arvada, Colo. He graduated from San Juan Vo-Tech, and in May of 1994 started work as a diesel mechanic at Wagner Equipment Co. in Durango, where he was recently promoted to the Branch Service Coordinator. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was an avid Broncos and Avalanche fan. He also became a self-taught gourmet cook and enjoyed preparing elaborate meals for holidays and family gatherings. Ron is survived by his wife, Suzette, of 24 years, his sons Kurtis of Moore, Okla., and Darren of Ignacio; his mother, Karen Brown Walson, of Wallace, N.C.; father, Gerald (Jerry), of Durango; sister, Kristine Carr, of Paris, Va.; brother, Eric (Rick), of Broomfield, Colo.; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive., on January 22, 2013 at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at his father's home in Durango.
