Kim A. Lawrence of Durango, born August 1, 1948, passed away on May 11, 2015. Kim was a kind and thoughtful person. He was an accomplished martial artist with Black Belts in four styles. He had a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed riding with his wife when the weather allowed. Recently Kim had worked at Edgemont Highlands and previously he managed Ted’s Rental and Sales. Kim is survived by his wife, Beverly Lawrence of Durango, five furry four-legged “children”, and his sister Connie (Darrell) Sorensen of Aberdeen. He is also survived by several aunts, many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. A memorial service has not been planned but may be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to Wolfwood Refuge, DSNIP or Lisa Parker’s Puppies, all local non-profit organizations benefitting animals.
