Jeanie Lauth

Jeanie Gwen Harrison Lauth, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2014 at her home in Breen, Colorado after a brief battle with cancer. Jeanie was born February 28, 1956, in Durango, Colorado, the youngest daughter of Keith and Gertie Harrison. Residing in Durango her entire life, Jeanie is survived by her husband, Bob Lauth, celebrating over 36 years of marriage and family. Jeanie is also survived by her sisters, Sue Fisher and Claudia Anesi and her brothers, Phil Harrison and Garry Harrison. Jeanie is preceded in death by her older sister, Gay Schlichting. Known as "GG" to her grandchildren, Trey, Rye, Sawyer, Elle, Ty, and Charley Mae, her memory will be cherished by them. Her legacy and strong sense of family and community will be carried on by her four daughters, Kellie Lauth, Katie Jackson, Kimberly Lauth, and Kerry Jo Melrose. There will be a celebration of Jeanie's life and memory on Saturday, January 25th from 11-3 at the Breen Grange, 15300 Hwy. 140, Hesperus, CO 81326. This is an open house with no formal ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be sent in her name and honor to Alternative Horizons (P.O. Box 503, Durango, CO 81302) or Hospice of Mercy (donations payable to The Mercy Health Foundation) 1010 Three Springs Blvd., Durango, CO 81301.
