Tamera J. King
Tamera Jean King, 47, died at home in Ignacio surrounded by family Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
Tamera was born to Lanny and Barbara Williams June 26, 1965. She attended Clear Creek Secondary School in Idaho Springs, Colo. She met J.D. King in Ignacio, and they were married in 1997.
She worked as a beautician and enjoyed styling hair and making people feel good about themselves. She loved to cook, sew and quilt. She loved her Chihuahuas, and her Great Dane. She was an avid reader of cookbooks and enjoyed testing out her new creations for her family. Her daughter, Trista, stated, "She loved being a mom."
She was preceded in death by her father, two uncles and a great-aunt.
Tamera is survived by her husband, J.D. King; daughter, Trista (Terron) Pascoe; stepsons Jason and Steven; mother, Barbara Williams; sister, Terri Witcher; and numerous nieces, nephews, a great-niece and a great-nephew, all of Ignacio.
A family gathering to celebrate her life will take place at a later date.
