Kathleen Anne Reilly

May 18, 1937 — July 7, 2024

Bayfield

Kathleen Anne Reilly, born May 18th 1937, passed away in her sleep on July 7th, 2024 in the Bayfield home she shared with her daughter Ellen and son-in-law Mark James. She leaves behind a son David Anastasio and his wife Deborah, Grandchildren Katie Rae James and Tyler James, eight great grandchildren who called her Granny Kat for her love of kitties, and many friends in Maryland and Colorado. She was a graduate of Notre Dame, a hospice nurse, and an advocate for women’s rights and racial equality. Kathleen was a beacon of love for many who struggled to find acceptance in their own families. She was an avid reader and aspiring linguist who studied French, Spanish, and German. She loved opera music, played the piano, and played the dulcimer with a global Zoom group of amateur musicians. Kathleen loved traveling, tending to her flower gardens, working on her quilts and other crafts, and volunteering with the Ignacio and Pine River libraries. She was a kind, peaceful person who had a gift of accepting other people as they are, and her pure love and kindness still lives on...
