She was born on August 3, 1992 in Carmel, NY, and graduated with the Carmel High School class of 2010. After high school, her love of adventure and the great outdoors led her to attend Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English, manga cum laude, in 2013. Jenna worked as a student employee in the Admission Office before becoming a full-time Admission Counselor after graduation. She worked her way up the ranks and, in June 2023, was promoted to Director of Admission. During this time, Jenna also received her Master of Arts (MA) in Education Administration from Stony Brook University in 2015.

Jenna "Loved Life." She was known for and lived her passions for adventure, the outdoors, and education. When Jenna wasn't working, she was backcountry skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, or anything that would take her into unspoiled nature. Jenna's latest adventure was a three-night rafting trip down the San Juan River. Jenna had the time of her life. Not only did she get to cross this off her bucket list, but she paddle-boarded the entire time. Additionally, Jenna actively volunteered with the Friends of the San Juans, an avalache awareness organization.

Jenna was a cherished friend to many, known for her ability to connect joyfully with people and her knack for storytelling. Jenna's presence radiated warmth and positivity, whether on campus, atop Molas Pass, or at a Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Most of Jenna's adventures included her 4-year-old golden doodle, Nova. Nova was her constant companion, and they were inseparable. Nova was also featured in many of Jenna's incredible photos that captured the natural beauty of her countless excursions.

We will always remember Jenna's infectious smile and her caring personality. Her presence will be sorely missed by many. When you think of Jenna, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
