Janice Jackson

Janice Lynn Jackson passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, in Durango, Colorado. She was 42 years old. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 23rd, 2016.
Janice was born June 30, 1973, to Jack Lee McEntire and Cynthia Louise Alway McEntire in Longmont, Colorado. The family decided to return to Durango, where they had been long time residents, to raise their 3 girls. Janice graduated from Durango High School in 1992 and went on to attend Fort Lewis College. She found her work “family” at local places such as Kmart, McDonalds and Check into Cash. On August 7, 2004, she married James “Jammy” Jackson and they had 2 beautiful children.
Janice had a passion for reading. She also enjoyed the beautiful state of Colorado camping and fishing with her family. Her true pride and joy were her children. Family and friends were most important in her life.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Jammy, her children: Georgia and Jonathan Jackson; her step-children: James Joseph Jackson, Jacob Riley Jackson, Tyra Everest and Felicia Harris; her parents, Jack and Cynthia McEntire; her sisters: Charlotte and Cathy; as well as numerous extended family and many close friends. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her aunt, Patricia McEntire and all her grandparents.
