Obituary for Jan S. Jackson
The full life of Jan Sue Jackson came to a peaceful end on January 29, 2012. A native-born resident of Durango, Colorado, Jan died of lymphatic cancer at the age of 60 years old.
Jan was strength in the community, involved with Bible Study Fellowship, the Durango Lion’s Club, the Pagosa Fiber Festival, Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association and a faithful member of Mountainview Community Church in Durango. She was employed by Dennis and Sharon Wetmore and was a former employee of Hood Mortuary of Durango.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wright and her stepdaughter, Donna Jackson. She is survived by her mother, Lois Wright of the home and her brother, Steve Wright and his wife, Joyce, of Arboles and her ex-husband, David Jackson, of California. Jan was also loved by her nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Please join the family of Jan in celebrating her life on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Mountainview Community Church, which meets at Needham Elementary School, 2425 W. 3rd Avenue in Durango.
