Iva Janelle McCoy

Iva Janelle McCoy passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Durango. She was 69 years old.  A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Durango. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery.

Iva was born August 16, 1953, to Francis Rhodes and Mary Ferguson in Durango, Colorado.
 
Iva came from a large family that meant the world to her. She would try and help everyone the best she could with all she had. She was very kindhearted and looked for the good in everyone she met. Her husband being in the air force required them to move often throughout the world, she became very involved leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
 
Iva was a very craft driven person; she enjoyed quilting, ceramics, bead work, tea saucer collector, coin collecting and Native American Artifacts.
 
She is survived by her husband, James Edward McCoy, Sons: Christopher Michael  and Brian James (Noelle Elias) McCoy; grandchildren: Hannah Mychelle, Isabella Skylar "Bones", Kayleean Janelle, and Kristopher Real McCoy; sisters: Darlene Rhodes, and Terry Kile. Iva is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Rhodes and an infant sister, Joe-Ellen Rhodes.
