Margaret Head

Margaret Ann Head, 77, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, in Durango. A memorial mass will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 7:30 A.M. at St. Columba Catholic Church. Father James Koenigsfeld of St. Columba Catholic Church will be officiating. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. Miss Head was born October 25, 1935, in Owatonna, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Margaret Kubat. She grew up in Minnesota, then moved to California and then came to Durango in 1970. She loved to help others and enjoyed gardening and crafts. She knitted many baby blankets for the Pregnancy Center of Durango and was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. She is survived by Yvonne Cox (daughter) of Durango, Chris Head (son) of Albuquerque, N.M., Pam Head (daughter) of San Antonio, Texas, Justin Head (grandson) of Durango, Nicole McDow (granddaughter) of Waco, TX, Bradin Miller (great-grandson) of Waco, TX, and Karen Fwellen (sister) of Bayfield, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son William Head and her brother Richard Kubat.
