Harry E. Fassett, Jr.

Harry E. Fassett Jr., 96, of Durango, passed away on January 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. Harry was born in Durango to Harry Edmond and Nella Elvera (Carr) Fassett on December 27, 1927. At 16 he got his pilot’s license and later joined the Air Force and fought in the Korean War. He met Glenda Murray in Colorado Springs and later married and moved to Durango. Together they had their daughter Deborah. The family lived on a ranch on the Florida Mesa. In 1958 the family joined the Jehovah’s Witnesses and have been members ever since.

Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Glenda. Harry outlived most of his family at 96. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah as well as many numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 120 County Road 319, Ignacio, CO 81137. For those unable to attend in person, there is a Zoom meeting as well (ID# 884 6758 6175 and password: Fassett).
