Steven Halsell

Steve Halsell passed away in Durango, Colorado at the age of 71 on August 7th, 2015.

Steve lived life as best he could with what he was equipped with. He lived in Santa Barbara County and San Luis a Bispo County most of his life. Several years ago he moved to the Dillon Lake, CO to be close to his beloved Aunt Gladys and Uncle Tommy. Steve enjoyed winter sports and hiking the mountain trails with his dogs. Steve loved his dogs very much and considered them his children. He leaves behind his loyal companion, Max. Steve is survived by his brothers John and Chuck (Margie), numerous nieces and nephews and his Auntie B. Steve loved his nieces and nephews, always inquiring about how they were doing and keeping up with their successes. Steve will now be with those who predeceased him; Dad (John), Mom (Audrey), Susan Collier (Sister), and Aunt Gladys.

Steve's final act of heroism was to be an organ and tissue donor. Many people, young and old, will receive a priceless gift from our brother.

Services for Steve will be held at a later date, to be announced, in Santa Maria, California.
