Obituary for
Eunice M. Gensheer
Eunice M. Gensheer died March 21, 2012 in Tuscola, Texas, where she had lived the past year and a half with her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ruth Gensheer. She was 80.
Eunice was born and raised in Racine, Wis. In 1940 she and her family moved to Durango, where she later married and raised her children. Eunice worked on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad as a concessionaire on the Durango to Silverton route. Later she worked as a clerk at Wall Drug. In 1977 she moved to Hanna, Wyo., and then to Douglas, Wyo., in 1990. In 2010 she moved to Tuscola, Texas.
Eunice was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Gensheer; sister, Bonny Stolworthy; brother, Clarence Money and parents, Gilbert and Alice Money.
She is survived by four children: Frank (Ruth) Gensheer of Tuscola, Texas; Diane (Barney) Parrish of Seymour, Texas, and Douglas, Wyo.; Mark (Ana) Gensheer of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Wendy (Dave) Kennedy of Farmington, N.M.; sister, Janet Hudson, of Cortez, Colo.; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hood Mortuary Chapel in Durango. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Hood Mortuary, with interment following in Greenmount Cemetery.
