Obituary for Ronald E. Gaddie
Ronald Edward Gaddie died peacefully at home in Hesperus, Colo., of lung cancer Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was 63.
Ronald was born March 4, 1949, in Grand Island, Neb., the son of Avery and Beth Gaddie. He graduated from Grand Island High School and later attended trade school in Denver. He moved to Durango in 1977. He met his wife, Kathy, at Purgatory that year. After being friends for several years, they became partners in life and had a daughter, Kassie.
Ronald started his owner-operated trucking business, which remained successful for many years. He was an avid fisherman who loved the mountains. His family remembers him as a loving husband, son, and father.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Kathy Gaddie, of Hesperus, daughter, Kassie E. Gaddie, of Waco Texas, mother, Beth E. Gaddie of Grand Island, Neb., and granddaughter, Josie A. Rose, of Hesperus.
