Iris Ruenett “Nett” Folsom 94, was called home to Jesus, January 8, 2022. She was the eldest of four, born to Norma Ruth Harris and Ivan Sanders on October 2, 1927 in Grants, New Mexico. She often travelled to Lemon Dam near Durango, Co., with her father and siblings, while Ivan was working on building the road. It was there that she met her husband, Charles Walden Folsom. Nett married Charlie, as he was known, on March 27, 1944. Together, they raised three sons, Charles Ivan Folsom, Lane Folsom and Cody Folsom. They were together for nearly 70 years when Charlie passed away in 2013.
Nett enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and baking her “famous” bread. She and Charlie enjoyed many winters traveling to Lake Havasu, Arizona with their camper, and enjoying the warm sunny weather. She was very generous, and a devoted woman of faith. In addition to her sons, she is missed by her seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
A special thank you to the staff at Cottonwood Extended Care.
A celebration of life will be held by her family, and scheduled at a later date.
