Floyd Melvin Marshall

Floyd Melvin Marshall, 84 of Durango, Colorado passed away on Saturday, November 19th in Mercy Hospice House, Durango. He is survived by wife Sandra and son Mathew Ryan. Floyd was born July 31, 1938 in Dola, Ohio to Ralph and Viola Marshall. He graduated from Hardin Northern High School in 1956. On August 31, 1958 he married Sandra Kramer. Floyd was employed by Commercial of Indiana, Columbus before he and his brothers, D. Ray and Dallas started their business Mar-Metal Manufacturing in Upper Sandusky. He also owned Sandy's Country Garden and Marshall's Lawn and Garden in Upper Sandusky. Floyd and Craig purchased and operated Ithaca Gun Company until the business was sold in 2007. While in Upper Sandusky Floyd was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge, and Capital Masonic Lodge, Columbus. Floyd and Sandy retired to Midway, Utah and later moved to Durango CO. to be closer to their youngest son Mathew Ryan. Also Surviving are 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He preceded in death by son's Todd L. (2010) and Craig Alan (2022) by his parents Ralph and Viola his stepfather John Curl his brothers Paul, Carl and sister Shelby.
