Obituary Notice for Randy Shane Fletcher

Randy Shane Fletcher, 54, died Friday, February 1, 2013 in Arboles, Colorado . Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the St. Peter/St. Rosa Church in Arboles and a Christian Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Peter St. Rosa. Burial will occur at Allison-Tiffany Cemetery in Allison.

Mr. Fletcher was born November 8, 1958 in Denver, Colorado the son of Carl and Josephine Fletcher. He was raised and attended school in Denver. Randy spent many summers with his grandparents in Arboles and later moved to the Arboles community with his parents in 1989. His profession was in carpentry and was a “Jack of all Trades”.

Randy was an avid and passionate hunter and fisherman and considered a master in the sports. He also taught many others outdoor sports, spending time with his nieces and nephews in the Colorado backcountry. His true loves were the outdoors and his family and friends; Randy was very giving with his time to others. Cooking was another joy of Randy’s life and he enjoyed sharing in that gift with others. Randy’s care of family prompted advanced care for his mother and grandmother.

He is survived by his mother, Josephine Fletcher of Arboles, Colo., siblings: Gary (spouse: Christy) Fletcher of Broomfield, Colo., Dixie (Spouse: Gerald) Sandoval of Arboles, and Karla (Spouse: Terry) Wilson of Grand Junction, Colo. and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Edmond Fletcher, and his life partner, Esther Pena, his grandparents, Earl and Lois Harris, and Florence Krochel.
