Shirley Faul

Shirley Ann Faul, 78, passed Sept. 4, in Durango, surrounded by family. She was born May 8, 1938, in Minot, North Dakota to Lineol and Effie. She moved to Chicago after getting married and after her kids were raised, went back to school and became a registered nurse. Besides her kids she dedicated her life to care for others. She loved to travel and took advantage of a traveling nurse program and was able to see many amazing places doing something she loved.
She enjoyed gardening and planning fun events at her apartment community.
A beloved mother; she is survived by her children: Kate Sorensen, Les Faul, and Karen Faul; brothers: Frank and Gordie Buettner; grandchildren: Beki, Kristine, James, Lindsey, and Grayson; great-grandchildren: Dailynn and Ethan and many extended family and friends. She was preceded by her parents.
A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Hood Mortuary Chapel.
